"The GOP has become a refuge for backward morons. It's very sad. I remember when the party was a fine secular and libertarian outfit. I didn't always agree with them back then but at least they were sane. Now every religous nutjob is involved with the GOP. It's impossible to reason with these people. Really, it's like a casting pearls before swine. As Will Rogers said, 'It's not what they know. It's what they know that just aint so.' So sad to see a once viable GOP end up in a cesspool of ignorance."
