It could be that I’m only back visiting and thus am in a different mindset, but I really feel at peace when I’m here. After living 6 months in what is in a lot of ways, the antithesis of Los Angeles, I can see how some people who come here become so enchanted with this city. Add in the food, the weather and old friends/family and I’m in love again.
On the topic of friends, most of us are lucky to have that handful that will always be there – they might have matured/changed (in a good way) but after a few minutes …or seconds, it’s like I never left. As much as I like Lund, L.A. will always be my home in a way that no other city can be.
